The 1st and only professional event in Spain and Europe dedicated specifically to the application of drones to agricultural and environment sectors was held in Seville and Jaen past October 9-11

The main national and international leaders of the unmanned aircraft sector (UAS/ RPAS), known as drones, met from 9 to 11 October at UNVEX ECO-AGRO, the largest drone event in Spain and Latin America that celebrated its first edition dedicated specifically to the application of this type of technology to the sectors of agriculture and the environment. The event, organized by our Center in collaboration with the company IDS and FIBES, took place in Seville and in our ATLAS Experimental Flight Center.

Leading companies in the sector such as Boeing Research & Technology Europe (BR & TE), Babcock, Indra, Airbus D&S Intelligence, Altran, Elecnor-Deimos or AERTEC Solutions, among others, have attended the meeting, together with the main players in the agricultural, agri-food and agricultural sectors. environmental, such as the ASAJA, UPA and COAG organizations and some agricultural cooperatives, as well as representatives of institutions and administrations such as the Spanish Government through the Ministry of Agriculture or the Spanish Aviation Safety and Security Agency (AESA), and the Junta de Andalucia, with the Regional Ministries of Employment, Environment, and Agriculture.

The scheduled program of UNVEX included a lecture series in which renowned speakers addressed the present and future of drones and UAVs. Thus, the benefits of using the latest technologies in agriculture and the environment, on the business development of a sector in full growth and on the legislation applicable to this sector, both current and future, in order to define how it will affect to its development, both in the industrial scope and in that of the final user.

On the other hand, companies showed in an exhibition area in FIBES the latest advances and products in the sector, so that visitors met with platform and sensor manufacturers, software developers, RPAS operators, consulting and insurance companies, universities and research centers, as well as end users of UAVs and their technologies: farmers’ associations, public entities, managers of protected natural areas and public officials related to agriculture and environmental management. The event also included workshops and B2B meetings among attendees.

The last day, visitors enjoyed an exclusive exhibition area with live demonstrations on our ATLAS Center in Villacarrillo (Jaen).
