The event, held in Madrid, brought together the main actors in the sector of unmanned aerial systems in our country and addressed the latest developments for its application in the civil sector

CATEC was present in a new edition of the Congress on Drones Applications to Civil Engineering, CivilDron’17, held on 24 and 25 January in Madrid and where participate the main companies, research centers and entities of the sector of the systems and unmanned airplanes (RPAS / UAV) in Spain.

In the event the latest developments in the field of unmanned aircraft were presented through different conferences and round tables, which also were addressed other interesting aspects regarding the legislation of these technologies, the development of anti-aircraft systems and the increasing importance of insurance to address the risks of these devices.

CATEC participated in this third Congress presenting its experience in applications with drones in animal and environmental monitoring in the Doñana National Park, thanks to its intervention in different R&D projects and its collaboration with the Doñana Biological Station (CSIC).

CivilDron’17 was organized by the Community of Madrid and the Energy Foundation of the Community of Madrid.
