Our Center has developed in the last weeks an intense activity that has led it to participate in different forums and reference meetings of the aerospace, defense and drones sector, in which it has managed to strengthen its relationship and collaboration with experts and entities of these sectors.

Thus, he participated in the first edition of the SER Meetings on the Defense and Aeronautics industry, organized by the Cadena SER Andalucía on October 2, in collaboration with our FADA, Airbus and Santa Bárbara Foundation, in which leading companies of the sector participated. and representatives of public administrations. In fact, he had the presence of the Secretary of State for Defense of the Government, Angel Olivares, and the Minister of Employment, Enterprise and Commerce of the Junta de Andalucía, Javier Carnero, among others. The meeting included a round table moderated by the president of FADA, Pilar Serrano, who had the participation of managers of the companies Aernnova, Inespasa and AERTEC Solutions, and other presentations by Airbus Defense and Space and General Dynamics Santa Bárbara Systems.

CATEC also had an outstanding participation in the event S-Moving (Smart, Autonomous and Unmanned Vehicles Forum), held in Malaga on October 17 and 18, and brought together the main companies and entities related to the field of mobility and drones from Spain. CATEC attended with its own stand in which we presented our wide range of UAS / RPAS technologies and services for its application and use in different sectors and participated in the program of technical sessions included in the appointment. Specifically, our general director, Joaquín Rodríguez Grau, participated in the round table on “Autonomous vehicles connected as a platform for the collection and processing of data”, in which he presented some of our latest drone projects and highlighted the possibilities of This type of vehicles as an excellent platform for the collection and processing of data, in fields such as infrastructure inspection, agriculture and environment and logistics.

In addition, our center was present in “secuDRone, Technological Drones and Security Applications Conference, which was held on October 4 in Madrid, where our fellow engineer Rafael Caballero, from the Division of Avionics and Systems, intervened explaining the latest innovations and applications that we are developing in terms of the use of unmanned systems (drones) and Artificial Intelligence for their application in surveillance operations’.

We have also attended the presentation of the Innovative Public Procurement Program that the Ministry of Agriculture made within the framework of the FIMART Fair held in Córdoba, and whose objective is to promote innovation through hiring. Finally, we also participated in the H2Orizon 2018 meeting, held at FIBES Sevilla in September, which brought together experts and professionals in water management and technologies. This event included a session on “Innovation in sustainable irrigation: sensors, satellites, drones”, which featured a presentation by Antidio Viguria, our head of the Avionics and Systems Division.
