The meeting took place last July in Germany and brought together representatives of the European Commission, expert reviewers and other consortium members

CATEC participated in the “Final Review Meeting” of the European AEROARMS project, which was held on 10 and 11 July in Germany, and which included a demonstration of our AEROX aircraft, developed within the framework of this initiative.

The demonstration consisted of a contact inspection of a tank using an eddy current sensor to detect cracks in the material, and it was conducted successfully. The European Commission Project Officer, three expert reviewers, and the other members of the consortium were present in this testing.

AEROARMS is one of the largest European drone projects and has a budget of 5.7 million euros. Its objective has been to study the use and application of new technologies and drones for the maintenance of industrial facilities. Belonging to the EU Horizon 2020 program, the project is led by the University of Seville and it involves ten partners from five countries: Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland and Spain.
