On 22 and 23 September, Seville will become the epicentre of innovation and technological entrepreneurship with a new edition of Al Andalus Innovation Venture, the leading forum for start-ups, scale-ups, investors and corporations in southern Spain.
As a leading technology centre in Andalusia and Spain, CATEC will be joining this major event and participating as an Ecosystem Partner, providing our institutional support and helping to promote the event by connecting our R&D&I capabilities with the business community, driving technology transfer to the market and generating synergies with key players in the innovation ecosystem in the south of the country. Furthermore, we will be taking part in some of the sessions on the programme.
At CATEC, we firmly believe in close collaboration between research centres, start-ups and large corporations to accelerate the development of high-tech solutions in the aerospace sector and in the fields of advanced transport and production systems.
The event, which will be held at the Pabellón de la Navegación, is Seville’s leading annual gathering for innovation and the forging of partnerships between corporate entities, investment funds, innovative SMEs, disruptive entrepreneurs, researchers and talent from all kinds of technological and manufacturing sectors. It is regarded as the fourth most important event of its kind in Spain, following Barcelona’s FY4N, Madrid’s South Summit and the Valencia Digital Summit.
The 2025 edition of Al Andalus Innovation Venture was attended by over 2,800 professionals, of whom 192 were investment funds operating in Spain and Portugal, 250 were executives from multinational or national corporations who travelled specifically to Seville to seek business opportunities and scout for talent amongst the participating SMEs, scale-ups, start-ups and entrepreneurs; 560 were representatives of SMEs; and there were 810 representatives of scale-ups or start-ups from across Spain. Furthermore, more than 140 companies and organisations had stands in the exhibition area.
The event is primarily supported by the Regional Government of Andalusia, Seville City Council and ICEX, Spain’s Trade and Investment Agency (Government of Spain).
