The agreement was signed in UNVEX 2016, the largest unmanned systems industry gathering in Spain, where our Center participated actively
Our Center will collaborate with the Spanish company INDA, specializing in the development of unmanned systems (RPAS/UAS) technology, to provide various technological services related to this type of aircraft. Specifically, both entities have reached an agreement that CATEC will supply their technical assistance services in this field to INDA, in order to strengthen and make more competitive UAS product line.
With this agreement, CATEC and INDA reinforce partnerships that will hold for several years and that focus on different initiatives related to the application of UAVs to different sectors. For CATEC it is also supposed to grow the portfolio of companies to which it already provides technology services, development of R&D, and advice on various related to the aviation industry, especially in the field of RPAS/UAS in Spain.
The signing of the agreement took place during UNVEX 2016, the largest gathering of aircraft and unmanned systems sector in Spain, held from 24 to 26 May in Madrid and in which CATEC had a very active participation.
CATEC participated with its own stand in the exhibition where they presented the first multi-rotor in the world that has been able to perform operations of complex manipulation, as a result of the project ARKS which now continues with the AEROARMS (refinery pipeline inspection) and AEROBI (bridge inspection) projects, all funded by the European Commission. They also presented their portfolio of services related to aircraft and unmanned systems, in order to help companies in their technological developments and increase the added value of their products.
Similarly, CATEC was represented at the UNVEX 2016 lecture series by Aníbal Ollero, scientific advisor to the center, who participated with a talk on the results of European projects EC-SAFEMOBIL and ARCAS, coordinated both by CATEC and the University of Seville.
