Members of the FUTURTECH_H2 consortium, including CATEC, participated last June 28th in the 1st Group Meeting of local agents of the European project Green Hydra ‘Improving Policies for engaging SMEs in the green hydrogen ecosystem’, held at the Club Cámara Antares, in Seville.

The Green Hydra project aims to improve the development, deployment and use of green hydrogen among SMEs, responding to a crucial priority for the EU: to enable public authorities and SMEs to develop green hydrogen deployment strategies and strengthen their value chain.

To this end, a working group has been formed at local-regional level comprising the General Secretariat for Energy of the Andalusian Regional Government, the Chamber of Seville, the Green Hydrogen Cluster, FEDEME, the University of Seville, the Hydrogen Board, the Port Authority of Seville and the company Energy Grid Vision.

During this first meeting, FEDEME, as the leading entity of the project ‘FUTURETECH_H2: Promotion and Technological Development of the Green Hydrogen Industry’, belonging to the 3rd Call of the Interreg VI-A Spain-Portugal Cross-Border Cooperation Programme (POCTEP) 2021-2027, presented to the rest of the attendees the objectives and activities contemplated within this project that is being implemented by a consortium made up of a total of six partners belonging to the regions of Alentejo (Portugal) and Andalusia (Spain): CATEC, Adral, Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre, University of Évora, Nao Victoria Foundation and FEDEME.
