The Centre participated as a collaborator entity at the Aerospace and Defense Meetings, the first aerospace event taking place in Spain where CATEC’s portfolio of technologies, services and projects were presented. The centre held more than 30 professional meetings
CATEC has give a step forward to be consolidated as a referral entity in the field of R & D for the Spanish and Andalusian aerospace industry thanks to its participation at the Aerospace and Defense Meetings Seville 2012 held from the 14 to the 17 of May in Seville and where the prime international aerospace enterprises got together.
The event, organized through the Trade Promotion Agency of Andalusia-Extenda, under the Regional Ministry of Economy, Innovation, Science and Employment, brought together near 300 enterprises from 25 countries. This has been the first business meeting of this kind taking place in Spain aimed at supporting and fostering business among OEMs, top level suppliers and subcontractors from the aerospace European industry, as well as reassuring the Andalusian aerospace pole strengths at international sphere.
Our Centre participated at the event as a collaborator entity together with other important aerospace entities and companies, having its own stand to develop the business meetings with different international and national aerospace enterprises and entities. This appointment has been very successful for CATEC, since more than 30 bilateral programmed business meeting were held as well as other many professional contacts during the core days at the event which took place int he Exhibition Centre of Seville (FIBES).
In the course of these meetings, CATEC presented its wide technology and service portfolio at the aerospace entities and firms’ disposal as well as its latest innovations in the national and European R & D projects carried out from its different areas among which there are the initiatives ARCAS, EC-SAFEMOBIL, MUAC-IREN, PLANET and FIELDCOPTER.
Among the institutional visits CATEC has at its stand, it should be highlighted that of the Spanish astronaut Pedro Duque, from the European Space Agency, who inaugurated the convention and together with other great figures could know the activity our Centre carries out. The CATEC’s participation at ADM finished on the 17 May when a group of aerospace managers and professionals interested in knowing its services and capabilities visited its facilities.
