Last Thursday, 28th November, CATEC’s facilities were visited by a group of 18 foreign journalists who visited Seville and its province as part of a press-trip of the Sevilla City One platform, which included a tour of the Aerópolis aerospace park. This visit of interest was one of the professional activities framed in the II International Conference of Seville City One, which took place on 28 November at the Palace of Congresses and Exhibitions of Seville (FIBES).
During three days, 18 top-level journalists have known the main economic potential of Seville, La Rinconada (where Aerópolis is located), Dos Hermanas and Alcalá de Guadaira.
The journalists, coming from 16 countries, followed with great interest the explanations of CATEC’s CEO, Joaquín Rodríguez, who showed them the work developed in CATEC, and they could check closely the technologies and processes used in the projects we carry out, as well as the main milestones of the aerospace sector in which our centre has participated.
This group of professionals works in widely distributed information agencies, written and digital newspapers, television channels and specialised magazines with wide circulation in countries such as Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Egypt, Germany, Italy, Spain, Cuba, France, United Kingdom, Turkey, United States and Canada.
We remind you that Seville City One, Metropolis of Southern Europe, is an initiative of public-private collaboration, with nearly 450 participating companies, including public entities, companies and professionals with cross-sectoral representation from different sectors. With more than 3,000 citizens joining the initiative, it emerged from civil society with the common goal of positioning Seville, Metropolis of Southern Europe, as a benchmark for more efficient and sustainable urban growth, in compliance with climate neutrality by 2030.
For CATEC it was an honour to have this pleasant visit and to show the world our capabilities through these professionals. We would like to thank the organisers of Sevilla City One.
