The centre was also visited by a group of students of the MBA Aerospace Master taught by the company Airbus Military in collaboration with the Business School EOI
CATEC is still opening its Doors to new institutions and entities interested in getting to know its working model as a technological centre and its intense R&D&I activity for Aeronautics. The last visit took place last 11 June when the centre had a visit o fan institutional delegation from Chile, precisely, from the region of Tarapacá, interested in getting to know the CATEC’s facilities and technological capabilities.
The visit was organized by the Andalusian Institute of Technology (IAT) within the project RED – Supporting the development of Regional Innovation System, boosted by this Andalusian entity. This initiative is aimed at getting to know the Andalusian System of Knowledge, the organizations composing it, as well as precise experiences in implementing strategies, tools and instruments of cooperation helping to boost and strengthen different productive sectors within the region including Aeronautics.
The Chilean delegation was composed by representatives of the Government of Tarapacá and several university centres and R&D entities within the region. In the course of their visit to CATEC, the members of the delegation got to know the main activities carried out by the centre in the area of research and technological development for aerospace enterprises, as well as some of its most outstanding premises and scientific equipment.
On the other hand, the centre received as well the visit of a group of 20 students from the Aerospace MBA Master taught by EADS (Airbus Military) in collaboration with the Business School EOI. The students, young engineers who are currently in their practical immersion period, attended the visit aimed at getting to know in depth Technologies and strategic areas which the centre work with, with special interest in the areas of Materials and Processes, Avionics and Unmanned Systems.
