It took place from October 9-11 in Seville and Jaen and was the first and only event in Spain and Europe dedicated specifically to the application of drones and unmanned aircraft to the agriculture and the environment sectors

The ATLAS Experimental Flight Center of Villacarrillo in Jaen hosted the closing day of the UNVEX ECO-AGRO Congress, the first held in Spain dedicated to the sector of remotely piloted aerial systems (RPAS / UAS / drones) and its applications in agriculture and the environment.

The day included different demonstration flights with this type of technologies by several companies and specialized entities in this field. The session was inaugurated by the President of the Provincial Council of Jaen, Francisco Reyes, and the general director of the Agency of Innovation and Development of Andalusia IDEA and president of the Andalusian Foundation for Aerospace Development (FADA), Antonio Gonzalez Marin.

The objective of this last day of UNVEX ECO-AGRO was to show how drones fly and the advantages that its use can have in different productive sectors such as agriculture or the protection of natural spaces. During the day were also celebrated several roundtables with lectures by experts on use of these technologies in the field of agriculture and security.

The congress closed its doors with great success after hosting two previous days in Seville of conferences, exhibition area and business meetings between companies and attending entities. The event was organized by FADA-CATEC, the company IDS and the Seville Conference and Exhibition Centre (FIBES), and brought together the key players in the agricultural, food and environmental sectors, such as associations ASAJA, UPA and COAG in addition to the large industries and multinationals, service companies, technicians and developers in the field of RPAS from all over Spain (Boeing Research & Technology Europe, Babcock, Indra, Airbus D & S Intelligence, Altran, Elecnor-Deimos or AERTEC Solutions, among others) .

The event was also supported by the Andalusian Regional Government through the Regional Ministries of Employment, Agriculture and Environment.
