The session took place whilst the Spanish and Portuguese partners were in town, following the 1st Spanish-Portuguese Green Hydrogen Forum, which brought the project’s recent public activities to a close.
The meeting, held in Sines (Portugal), highlighted the importance of Iberian collaboration in setting an unbeatable example for the production of this energy vector in Europe, and the need to promote demand-side support as a key condition for the sector’s take-off. CATEC has participated as a partner in this European project aimed at strengthening the green hydrogen value chain in the Alentejo and Andalusia regions.
This is a series of informative events that will begin with a conference in Seville from 22 to 24 January and will continue in other cities such as Algeciras, Huelva, Sines and Évora
This initiative, in which CATEC participates alongside five other partners from Spain and Portugal, aims to develop the green hydrogen value chain in this cross-border area, promoting and disseminating, through various planned actions, the virtues and capabilities of this energy vector as an industry of the future.
In the framework of the European project FUTURETECH_H2, CATEC have participated in the town of Barrancos (Portugal) in a day of exchange of experiences between the students of the technical and non-technical training courses in green hydrogen, organised in parallel in Spain and Portugal for professionals from Alentejo and the cross-border area of Andalusia.
The project "FUTURETECH_H2: Promotion and Technological Development of the Green Hydrogen Industry," part of the 3rd Call for the Spain-Portugal Cross-Border Cooperation Program Interreg VI-A (POCTEP) 2021-2027, in which CATEC participates, now has its own corporate website, which can be accessed at: www.futuretech-h2.eu.
