Our technology centre was also responsible for the operational authorization of the flight, which was the result of an extensive and complex preparation process carried out in close collaboration with the Telespazio Ibérica drone team as the end user.
Our technology center has participated in this initiative through the company Clue Technologies, and its role has focused on developing a photorealistic simulation architecture based on Unreal Engine 5 and Matlab/Simulink, which has been used to implement an AI agent to perform the task of intelligent guidance in unmanned aerial platforms for firefighting services
CATEC held a demonstration and training day at the Lourizán Forestry Research Center (Pontevedra) as part of the European Hub Iberia Agrotech (HIBA+) project. The Advanced Centre for Aerospace Technologies (CATEC), together with the aeronautical engineering companies AERTEC and Pildo Labs and the University of Seville have successfully completed in Seville, in the context of the U-ELCOME project, a series of tests in a real environment aimed at demonstrating the feasibility of transporting goods, in this case medical cargo, over long distances using drones and UAS.
