BEEYONDERS: Advancing the development of intelligent drones to improve inspection and safety in road and tunnel construction

CATEC has made a significant contribution to this European project by developing a system comprising an autonomous drone and navigation and mapping algorithms, enabling safe inspections and the generation of real-time 3D maps that are extremely useful during tunnel construction.

CATEC incorporates a drone into the autonomous vehicle for road maintenance with AI developed by the ‘Beeyonders’ project.

This week, the 'Beeyonders EU' project, in which CATEC participates as a partner, has carried out in the Basque town of Abadiño the first real-world tests of technologies designed for the construction sector, specifically for the monitoring of construction sites and the management of road maintenance.
